- URL
- (Uniform Resource Locator) is a way of addressing used for world wide web. An URL consist of the type of service (protocol), then the host name and then the file on the host.
- Video Streaming
- The process of providing video data or content via a web page.
- Virtual hosting
- Means that not only yours account (or website) will be hosted on a particular server, but the server will be shared between a number of accounts.
- Virtual Server
- A web server which shares its resources with multiple users. It's another way of saying that multiple web sites share the resources of one server. If you do not need your own web server (i.e. your own server class computer), you will use a virtual server to host your web site.
- Web host
- Is in the business of providing server space, Web services and file maintenance for Web sites controlled by individuals or companies that do not have their own Web servers.
- Web hosting service
- Is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web.
- Web hosts
- Companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.
- WWW
- World Wide Web (or Web) is the most popular Internet service. It allows access to the information and services from the web servers. A web browser is needed to use the Web.
