How to create a subdomain?

This tutorial will teach you how to create a Subdomain. A subdomain, also known as a third-level domain, is a great way to create memorable web addresses for various sub-sites of your site. For instance, something.yourdomain.com, portal.yourdomain.com, etc. The basic syntax is http://subdomain.domain.com.

This tutorial will assume that you are logged into your CPanel.

  1. To create a subdomain, click on the "Subdomain Management" icon under Domain Management in the main control panel menu.
  2. Type your subdomain name in the box under "Add Sub-Domain:" and click the "Create" button.
  3. That it! (You will now see your subdomain listed below)

Note: Please allow 5-10 minutes for the system to update and you will be able to browse your new subdomain URL.
